Santana Ware, Youth Director: Santana is responsible for developing youth programs and curriculums. In addition to supervising the mentoring and tutoring programs that help our youth succeed academically, she also codesigned the "I AM Beautiful" program that empowers girls to be leaders and confident in themselves. Santana’s goal is to help our youth be successful game changers in today’s society! An expert in the field of public relations.
Santana serves as an entrepreneur with a wide range of experience. Her expertise ranges from Sales, Teaching, Community Outreach, Entrepreneurship, and Management. She dedicated time as a Girl Scouts volunteer for 10 years before working there as an Outreach Specialist for 4 years. As outreach specialist, she taught S.T.E.A.M activities and leadership skills. After leaving her role with Girl Scouts, Santana started an art studio business that hosted paint parties, networking and team building events, as well as body painting. Her business generously hosted the "Paint Heals" charity event with the Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. She looks forward to being an influential vessel in the Dallas community.
Santana B. Ware was born in Starkville, Mississippi! Her parents are the late Charles Powers and Kathy Akins. Santana graduated from Mississippi State University with a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration (2011) and her Bachelors of Arts in Communication (2008) with concentrations in Broadcasting and Public Relations.
Santana married her high school sweetheart, Gregory Ware in 2015 after dating for 11 years. Together, they have 4 children, 3 sons (ZaMarion, Karter and Harley) and a daughter (Sailor). She loves her family and is an education advocate. She and her family moved to Dallas in September 2019 to chase new opportunities and live out their dreams! She's very passionate about helping others and currently works as a Programs Coordinator for SPARK! in downtown Dallas.
